Hastelloy is a high-performance corrosion-resistant metal alloy primarily composed of nickel, with varying amounts of molybdenum, cobalt, iron, and chromium. It is specifically designed to withstand extreme environments, including highly acidic, oxidizing, and high-temperature conditions. Due to its superior resistance to chemical corrosion and mechanical durability, Hastelloy is widely used in the aerospace, chemical processing, marine, and power industries.
Typically refined using vacuum induction melting (VIM) or electroslag remelting (ESR). Solution annealing enhances mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Easily weldable without loss of properties, making it suitable for complex industrial equipment. Excellent performance in chloride-rich environments. Prevents material failure under tensile stress in corrosive conditions.
