S235J2 Pipes are low-carbon, non-alloy structural steel pipes that comply with the EN 10025-2 standard. The designation "S" stands for structural steel, "235" indicates a minimum yield strength of 235 MPa, and "J2" means the material has passed a Charpy V-Notch impact test at −20°C. These pipes offer good toughness, uniform mechanical properties, and are suitable for structural applications in cold climates where impact resistance is essential.
Chemically, S235J2 steel contains a maximum of 0.22% carbon, up to 1.60% manganese, and minimal sulfur and phosphorus, which enhances its weldability and machinability. The material offers a tensile strength range of 360–510 MPa and provides reliable performance in both hot-rolled and cold-formed conditions. S235J2 is also available in seamless and welded pipe forms, ensuring compatibility with a range of fabrication and engineering processes.
